Tres Parisien, Part 2

For our second installment of eye candy plates from Tres Parisien, we bring you a charming blue floral dress named 'Pompadour', a white evening dress 'Passe-Partout' and a bright red plaid coat 'Sportive'. My limited research suggests this publication started in 1920s, but these certainly look more 1919 styles, especially 'Passe-Partout'. Am I crazy?

Sports Shorts, 1942

Just a bit of war propaganda for the youth, 1942 version, put out by Stewart's Dry Goods. Mixed with a chaser of baseball news and trivia, Hollywood special effects trivia, Glenn Miller bio, contest, and, I kid you not, How to Tango. Plus fashion news. VFG Member in the News!

MORE MAGAZINE recently challenged its readers to re-invent "the F-Word", and rising to that challenge was the VFG's own Maggie Wilds (aka DENISEBRAIN). What better F-Word to describe vintage than "finery"? The magazine asked readers to come up with and define an F-word that aptly describes an aspect of their lives, and as a vintage clothing seller, Maggie certainly works daily with what she refers to as finery!

The magazine's contest has been running a couple weeks now, with readers registering online to vote. Maggie is in the top 3 and an article was recently written about her involvement in the contest in THE SPOKESMAN REVIEW. After reading the article, head on over to THE CONTEST at MORE MAGAZINE to cast your vote for Maggie and vintage finery!
